Michael Healey’s The Drawer Boy will play its final performance at off-Broadway’s SoHo Playhouse on May 19. The show was originally scheduled to run through June 16.
Alex Fast, Brad Fryman and William Laney star in the play, set in 1972 on an Ontario farm. The show charts the adventures of Miles, a young actor who visits two elderly farmers (and WWII veterans) to ‘research’ farm life for a new play.
The show is directed by Alexander Dinelaris and features scenic design by Rebecca Lord-Surratt, costumes by David Murin, lighting by Amith Chandrashaker and sound design by Nick Moore. The cast and creative team all premiered the show in New York workshop in March 2013.
